From Dejvicka follow the directions below

Suggestion Two.  Instead of going to Dejvicka change onto Buses 316 or 356 at Bořislavka then follow the directions below

We will update these directions when the new system has settled-in

Please contact us if you need more guidance

Buses to Cerny Vul from Prague Airport

From Prague Airport take the 119 bus to Dejvicka and then the 316 or 356 bus to Cerny Vul.

See www.myczechrepublic.com/prague/prague-airport-bus.html

Bus 119 from Prague Airport to Dejvická

Bus 119 runs from Prague Ruzyně Airport to Dejvická metro station.
The Buses run every 7 to 20 minutes.  The Buses take 23 minutes from
Prague Airport to Dejvická.   Dejvická is the last stop.

Bus 119 departs from outside the Prague Airport Arrivals terminal.  The first bus
leaves around 4.15 in the morning and the last leaves around 0.10 at night (but
please check that - please do not blame us if you miss the last bus!)

Changing from Bus 119 to Bus 316 or 356 at Dejvická

Please look at the Dejvická map.  Bus 119 stops
in front of the Diplomat Hotel.  When you get off
the 119 bus at Dejvická you will see in front of
you steps leading down from the street level
pavement into the metro ticket hall below.
Go down into the metro ticket hall.
In front of you steps lead down again to the
metro underground railway platform. Do not go
down the second set of steps, but instead to
your left a long pedestrian footpath tunnel leads
from your ticket hall to another ticket hall in the distance.

Walk along this footway (see picture on left).

Half way along, you will see an exit on your left
with stairs up to street level and a lift for disabled
passengers.   Go up to street level.  In front of you
you will see a series of bus stands.   Walk to the
right-most bus stand.  This is where Buses 316
and 356 start their 20 minute journey to Cerny Vul.

Driving into Cerny Vul, at the bottom of the hill in the centre of Cerny Vul the R240
crosses the stream.  Immediately after crossing the stream, turn right into
Cycle Track 8100 (recently given the name "Unětická") signposted towards the
Garden Centre and Ve Mlejne Pub Restaurant.  You are now driving East on Cycle Track 8100
with the stream on your right (heading "downstream").   On your right is the garden centre
Keep driving past the garden centre until the garden centre tennis courts are
on your right.  You will see the Pub/Restaurant Ve Mlejne ahead on the right.

Unscrupulous taxis.  We do emphasise to all our Guests to only ever use
"AAA Taxi" or "Profi Taxi" but other unscrupulous taxis are very adept at
persuading even the most experienced and canny travellers to use their cabs.
This can be a very expensive time wasting mistake.  We have never ever
known any problems with "AAA Taxi" or "Profi Taxi" so please stick to those taxis.
There are plenty of other good honest taxis in Prague to whom we apologise,
but as a visitor please just use "AAA Taxi" or "Profi Taxi".

Lost taxis.   Even good taxis will sometimes fail to find the Cottage address.  When they
fail to find the address in their map books, or when they "drive in hope" and then fail to remember
the area, it is too easy for them to assume that the newly arrived foreigner has the wrong address.
But please do not let this concern you - click here for help with this problem.

GuidingTaxis to Cottages

It does occasionally happen that a Guest experiences a minor problem directing a taxi,
but this has always been easily dealt with.  Please do not worry, no Guest has ever
reported a significant problem.   In our experience AAA Taxi drivers are nearly always excellent -
friendly, helpful, efficient and extremely honest.  For more details click here.
However if you do have any concern, our suggestions include

Phone for help.  Telephone a member of the IdyllicPrague team on your mobile telephone, and then
hand the mobile telephone to the taxi driver.  We can sort out any difficulties for you by talking to the
taxi driver on your behalf in Czech.

Taxi cards.  IdyllicPrague supply Guests with "Get-Me-Home" driving instructions on a small card.
Just hand the card to the taxi driver - it tells him everything he needs to know to drive you to your Cottage.

Point-And-Go.  IdyllicPrague supply Guests with "Point-And-Go" taxi instructions on an A4 sheet.
Just show the sheet to the taxi driver and point to your destination - it tells him everything he needs to know.

Ask for the Garden Centre.  Just ask the taxi driver to drive to www.Trees.cz   This garden centre is extremely well signposted, and very near to the Cottages.  You will recognise where you are and you will be able to complete the journey just by pointing out the directions.  Or if you prefer you can just walk from the Garden Centre to your Cottage, it is only a few hundred yards away.

Driving 675 miles from the Folkestone/Calais Channel Tunnel to Cerny Vul has become
much easier now that the route is almost exclusively motorway.  The drive from Tunnel to
Cottage can be completed in under 10 hours driving time plus the time you may need
for fuel, comfort and safety breaks.

From Calais follow A10 Brussels A3 Köln, A4 Frankfurt A4 Plsen R7 towards Prague.

{Or from Berlin, 220 miles, 4 hours, A113, A13, A4, A17, D8, D8J18, R16, R240.
You will approach Cerny Vul on the R240 from the North.  The instructions below
approach Cerny Vul on the R240 from the South.}

Approaching Prague on the R7/E48 head for Prague Airport "Letiště" (Ruzny and
Knezeves) then Horemerice and the R240 towards Velke Prilepy.

Ideally from the R7 take the right turn immediately before the airport junction
(1km SE of the airport junction) which is signposted to Horemerice.

Ideally from the R7 take the right turn immediately before the airport junction
(1km SE of the airport junction) which is signposted to Horemerice.  Drive straight
on into Horemerice.

(If you miss the turning before the airport, leave the R7 at the airport junction.  The
airport is to your left.  Turn to the right instead away from the airport, turn right
across a bridge into the small village of Predni Kopanina, and at a cross roads in
the open fields outside Predni Kopanina turn left towards Horemerice )

(Driving from Prague Airport: - Leave Prague Airport along the dual carriageway that
is the Airport Approach Road.  Keep going straight on.  You will come to an interchange
over the R7.  Keep going straight on across the interchange towards Predni Kopanina.
(As you approach the interchange, the main road forks right onto the R7 towards Prague (Praha).
Keep going straight on by taking the left fork which is the motorway bridge over the R7.
Immediately as you leave the motorway bridge over the R7, keep going straight on towards
Predni Kopanina by forking left down a small cobbled lane which runs down from the
R7 interchange.)  Leave the interchange over the R7 on a small cobbled road down towards
Predni Kopanina.  After a few hundred yards the road bends sharp right across a bridge over
the valley.  Do not go straight on, but follow the road to the right across the bridge towards
Predni Kopanina and then left into the village of Predni Kopanina.  After leaving the village
of Predni Kopanina the same road continues through open fields.  At the first cross roads
in the open fields outside Predni Kopanina turn left towards Horemerice.)

Please agree the details and time of your arrival at IdyllicPrague.com in advance so that we can
check that the keys to your holiday rental Cottage will be available to you when you arrive.

Guests often drive from Frankfurt via Plzen (Frankfurt A4 A3 A6 A93 A6 D5 towards Prague
approaching Prague on the R7/E48) (Warning - my GPS does not know that the Plzen bypass
is complete, so if your GPS suddenly wants to take you off the Prague motorway for a scenic
tour of Plzen, stay on the motorway to Prague! :-)) What has worked well for our Guests in
the past is if you could give us an estimate of when you expect to arrive, then send Hana an
SMS text message (or telephone her) on +420 724 07 ```` as you cross the Czech border.
That way the IdyllicPrague.com team will have everything ready, and will be ready to welcome
you, give you the keys and show you around the Cottage and sign paperwork on your arrival.
We usually manage to be extremely flexible but if there is anything unusual or uncertain about
your arrival or if you are arriving outside 08:00 - 20:00 please discuss it with us as soon as
possible.    For more information click here.
From Frankfurt to Ve Mlejne is just less than 6 hours driving (plus driving breaks).
From Rozvadov (which is the German/Czech border A6/E50/D5) to the Cottage is just less
than 2 hours driving (plus driving breaks).

NOTE +420 724 07 ```` is incomplete - we will send you the full telephone number.

In an emergency, for example if you arrive after the pub/restaurant has closed, the IdyllicPrague.com
chauffeur may very kindly agree to help you but he will probably need to charge you for this service.
