Relocation Preferences

My current UK location is very close to Junction 10 of the M4 which is the A329M junction.  Driving to Heathrow takes 30 minutes, driving to Bracknell or Reading takes 15 minutes.

My current UK location is also within 5 minutes walking distance of a railway station on the Reading to London Waterloo train line providing easy travel to London, Bracknell and Reading.   A train to London Waterloo takes 73 minutes, a train to Reading takes 9 minutes and a train to London Paddington takes 44 minutes. 

I am very open to relocate almost anywhere!  My 3 children are either undergraduates studying at University or are working having successfully graduated.  If offered a relocation I would probably relocate on a single bachelor basis for a year with the intention that my wife would join me after the first year.  These arrangements can be very flexible - please let me know what arrangement would work best.

I have greatly enjoyed working in UK, USA, France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuanian, Estonia, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia, Romania, Russia, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, India, Philippines.

Based on my work experiences, I am particularly interested in the following locations.  However I would be delighted to have the opportunity to enjoy learning yet another culture and location - so please suggest a new location!

Possible locations I might suggest include:-

  • Anywhere in Europe - I have friends and family connections in many European countries, and enjoy all European countries

  • Anywhere in Central Europe - particularly the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, Hungary, Romania as I have strong connections with these countries and own a house outside Prague

  • Anywhere in the Baltics - I have particularly enjoyed working in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia

  • Anywhere in Scandinavia - where I have family connections

  • Anywhere in Russia and Former Soviet Union - Moscow, Russia, Kazakhstan I particularly enjoy

  • Anywhere in the Middle East - particularly UAE - Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, - Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain - all of which are great places to work

  • I have family connections in Brunei and have enjoyed working in India, Philippines, Kuala Lumpur

  • USA and Canada are excellent places to work and Australia and New Zealand appeal strongly

  • I would be very interested to work in South America
